Chinese Herbal Remedies - Aloe Vera

This plant found its way into china about the year 300BC. In china's Yunnan province, the use of aloe Vera is today used even on large scale production. The company there uses advanced membrane separating technologies to extract the juice in the plant. The juice contains the chemical compound called aloin. Once the aloin has been removed, it may be used for its many medicinal values. This plant can be used for healing a number of open wounds, and minor second degree burns. These qualities come with the bacteria in the aloe Vera sap. They are therefore used for antibacterial and antifungal purposes.

The use of this plant in the synthetic industry is made possible by the synthetic property of the aloin extracted from the plant. These can then optionally be processed into soaps and make ups. It has in many cases been argued that it does not directly cure the diseases but only soothes and alleviates pain. The many minerals, vitamins and amino acids it contains however can be harnessed to benefit the body in many ways. For people with irritable skin, a cream has been developed that makes the skin moist and prevents cracks. Other uses of aloe Vera are in curing genital herpes and diabetes in Chinese herbal remedies.

Of the myths that accompany the use of aloe Vera, are the belief that it can be used to cure all diseases. This however has been disproved over the years. Another common belief is that aloe Vera has no side effects. It has been proven that while taken in large quantities, the raw sap can be harmful to human health.

With all the controversy on the healing capabilities of aloe Vera, there are some undeniable facts about this plant. One is that it contains three anti-inflammatory fatty acids, it generates up to 23 polypeptides, which are immune stimulators, and it produces six antiseptic agents, which include cinnamon acid, phenols lupeol, salicylic acid, urea nitrogen, and sulphur. It is for this reason that it is such a good painkiller. These compounds can thus be extracted by use of many methods, to produce chemicals that can be used and mixed to get the desired medical components. This is one fact that is very undeniable about aloe Vera in Chinese herbal remedies.
